Range: Southern Asia, Malaysia

Scientific Name: Irena puella

Fairy bluebirds can be seen congregating in small groups of six to eight birds, often with other bird species.  They are constantly on the move, scurrying about in the branches from tree to tree.  The female builds the nest by herself  in the fork of two branches within a dense and shady tree.

Did You Know?

Unlike most forest birds, fairy bluebirds breed in the heart of the densest and most humid areas of the forest.
