This colorful bird spends itsday moving through the rainforest in search of food. It eats a wide variety of fruits, insects, spiders, and other small animals, including frogs. The male courts the female by feeding her and singing to her from the tree canopy. After mating, the pair works together to make a nest cavity in a hollow tree, where the female then lays her eggs.
