This long-legged spider makes the most of the bright yellow markings on the underside of its legs. When it is startled, the tarantula rears up and shows off the yellow color as part of its threat display. This arachnid lives in the moist, dark crevices of trees. It comes out at night to feed on insects and small mammals.
