Would you believe the hyrax's closest relative is the elephant? Rock hyraxes' feet have rubbery pads which help make them great climbers in the trees and rocky areas of Africa. They eat mainly grasses and leaves. They usually live in family groups. Females have one to three young, which sit on their moms' back when resting.
