Primate House and Fragile Forest
Show some love for the lemurs, monkeys and great apes! Zookeepers will offer keeper chats, interactive games for visitors, enrichment feedings for the animals and more. Learn about animal adaptations, their special skills, behaviors, conservation challenges these animals are facing in the wild and how you can make a difference.
The Saint Louis Zoo has more than a hundred mammal species, representing most of the groups on the planet. Many of our species are endangered in the wild, and we participate in cooperative breeding programs to increase their numbers.
You'll find mammals on display at most of the major Zoo exhibits, including River's Edge, Jungle of the Apes, Bear Bluffs, the Children's Zoo, The Living World, the Primate House, the Chain of Lakes, the Antelope Yards, Big Cat Country and the Sea Lion Arena.
