Camp KangaZoo, 1st - 6th Grades

Leap into the action this summer and be a Camp KangaZoo camper! Come year after year and learn something new each time! Campers are divided into age-specific groups for most activities, but do come together each day for an introduction, lunch and snack.

Once again campers can double their Camp fun. Choose Battle of the Biomes or Ecology - Everything's Connected or register for BOTH!

In Battle of the Biomes, campers will compare similar habitats in different parts of the world. How are the Ozarks like the Andes? Are all rainforests the same? What are the keystone species in different biomes? Campers will find the answers through active Camp games, activities, crafts, and of course, live animals.

In Ecology – Everything’s Connected, campers will have fun at the Zoo while exploring many of the interesting and unusual ways that animals, plants and people are connected. Along with discovering food chains and delightful decomposers, campers will see how they rely on the natural world, and how animals rely on them, all to the tune of active games, crafts and awesome Zoo animals.

AT BOTH CAMPS you will:
• Learn all about animals and the Zoo
• Explore animal habits and habitats
• See and touch live animals in our classrooms
• Find out how you can help animals
• Examine skins, skulls and feathers
• Sing favorite Zoo tunes
• Make crafts to take home
• Learn new games and perform funny skits
• Attend the Sea Lion Show and ride the Zooline Railroad
• Tiptoe around the Zoo at night
• Sleep at the Zoo and wake up with the birds

Camp KangaZoo t-shirt, group photo, snacks, Thursday pizza dinner and Friday morning breakfast included!

Fee: Zoo Members $200/General Public $220
Instructors: Seasonal Instructors, Zoo Staff and Zoo ALIVE volunteers
