Leap into the action this summer and be a Camp KangaZoo camper! Come year after year and learn something new each time! Campers are divided into age-specific groups for most activities, and are together each day for an introduction, lunch and snack.

Once again campers can double their Camp fun. Choose Animal Clues and Codes or Animals in Action or register for BOTH!

In Animal Clues and Codes, campers will explore the many characteristics of animals that scientists called “taxonomists” use to classify, group and organize what we know about animals. Campers will learn about the classification system, dichotomous keys, and those unique animals that are exceptions to the rules. You can count on engaging hands-on activities, solving mysteries, outdoor games, tours, lots of animal observation, and all of the things that make Zoo Camp great!

In Animals in Action, campers will explore the fascinating world of animal behavior. Campers will observe animals to determine what they do, how they move and use their Zoo habitat, how they get along with the other animals in their environment, and how they learn. Campers will get to know a particular animal species in depth, and will learn about many other animals and behaviors, all to the tune of active games, crafts, tours, and visits with our awesome Zoo animals.

AT BOTH CAMPS you will:
• Learn all about animals and the Zoo
• Explore animal habits and habitats
• See and touch live animals in our classrooms
• Find out how you can help animals
• Examine skins, skulls and feathers
• Sing favorite Zoo tunes
• Make crafts to take home
• Learn new games and perform funny skits
• Attend the Sea Lion Show and ride the Zooline Railroad
• Tiptoe around the Zoo at night
• Sleep at the Zoo and wake up with the birds

Camp KangaZoo scholarships are available to families with financial need. Download an application packet, or call (314) 646-4544, #6 to request an application.

Camp Scholarships are possible thanks to generous donations from the Engelhardt Family Foundation and the Walter and Nancy Galvin Endowed Fund for Children. Completed applications must be received by Thursday, May 2, 2013.
