These programs are designed for you and your child to explore the animal world together. Programs are hands-on and may include crafts, live animals, songs, stories, role-playing, and more.

These programs do not include behind-the-scenes tours or opportunities to touch animals on exhibit while touring the Zoo.

Stroller Safari Series

ROAR and purr…  Cats are some of the most recognizable animals in the world.  In this class, we will learn the differences between big and small cats as we investigate cat adaptations and visit some of our cats at the Zoo.

Observe and Learn: Penguins

Why did the penguin shake its head?  Come and learn why penguins do the things they do, and waddle down to Penguin and Puffin Coast to observe these behaviors in action.  We will record what we see using an engaging iPad application to better understand a portion of the penguin’s day.

Seals, Sea Lions, and Walruses, Oh My! (NEW)

Dive into the fun filled world of these fin-footed mammals.   Sea lions, seals, and walruses are all in this family and will be the topic of the day.  We will learn how to tell them apart, learn where they live, and go see our sea lions and seals at Sea Lion Sound.
