Early Explorers

WILD YOGA FOR YOU AND YOUR YOUNG ONE
Stretch like a seal, bend like a bear, balance like a flamingo and move like a monkey! Parents and children will spend 30 minutes with an early childhood instructor learning about animals in the Monsanto Education Gallery. Then you’ll move out into the Zoo with Nowfitness Yoga Instructor Keri Allison & Group Exercise Instructor Darcy Zenker to practice fun animal yoga poses.

Flutter with the Butterflies
Come learn about butterflies, then travel to the Discovery Corner to flutter with the butterflies by practicing the Butterfly pose.

Join us to learn more about big cats and then travel to the Big Cat Country in Red Rocks to purr with the big cats and practice the Cat pose.

Come and learn more about the new inhabitants of River’s Edge, the painted dogs. Then travel through River’s edge to practice your Downward Facing Dog pose.

Learn all about how primates swing through the trees. Then walk up Historic Hill to the Primate House and show off your Gorilla pose.

STROLLER SAFARI SERIES

Animal Opposites
Animals come in all different shapes and sizes, from the tiny cricket to the enormous elephant.  Come take a walk through the Zoo on a safari looking for animals, big and small.  We’ll use our eyes, hands, and whole bodies to see how we size up to the wildlife.

Animal Alphabets
Come learn about animals from A to Z! Each program features a different group of Zoo animals. We will explore all about that particular animal group through hands-on activities. We will also go on an adventure to visit the animal at their Zoo habitat. At the end of each class, each child will receive a Zoo Book to add to his or her collection. Note: These programs do not include behind-the-scenes tours or opportunities to touch animals on exhibit while touring the Zoo.
