Bird Keeper Safari

For families with children entering 4th - 8th grade

This Bird Keeper Safari provides a relaxing escape for bird lovers of all ages. Travel through the tranquil Bird House to view rare and exotic birds from around the world as you hear stories and anecdotes from bird keepers. Wear your safari shoes to go walking “Around the World in 90 Minutes.”

Antelope Keeper Safari

For families with children entering 4th - 8th grade

Hoofs, humps and horns - from the smallest type of deer to the tallest giraffe, the Saint Louis Zoo is proud to be home to over 26 different types of hoofed stock. Find out how these animals are managed and cared for at the Zoo.

Snake Keeper Safari

The Zoo’s collection of snakes range from A to Z. Join us on an exciting tour of the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium. We will see the many snake exhibits and learn how the keepers care for this diverse collection of reptiles.

Join the keepers on safari and visit some of the residents of River’s Edge. We will see anteaters, bush dogs, capybara, hyena, and the cheetahs. Learn what it takes to be a keeper and care for these charismatic creatures.
