Families with Children Entering K - 3rd Grade

Youth and parents attend these programs TOGETHER. The fees for these programs are per registered participant. All participating family members must be registered.

Animal Alphabets

Come learn about animals from A to Z! Each program features a different group of Zoo animals. We will explore all about that particular animal group through hands-on activities. We will also go on an adventure to visit the animal at their Zoo habitat. Note: These programs do not include behind-the-scenes tours or opportunities to touch animals on exhibit while touring the Zoo.

Limited to 24 participants per session.

E is for Elephant!
Ears, trunks, and tusks and more! Come learn about our exciting elephant herd. What does an elephant use its trunk for? How do you tell the difference between African and Asian elephants? We’ll answer these questions and more in this class about the Zoo’s largest resident!

F is for Flamingo!
Fly on down to the Zoo to frolic with our feathered friends - the flamingos! Join us for a feather-iffic good time as we explore flamingo adaptations, learn why flamingos are pink, and shake our tail feathers with the “Flamingo Dance.”

G is for Giraffe!
Come explore the graceful giants known as giraffes! We’ll learn all about these gigantic mammals, how they drink water when they are so tall, and why on Earth their tongues are black. Get ready to stick your neck out with the giraffes at the Saint Louis Zoo.
