Birds of Prey

For students entering 2nd - 4th grade

Come meet live birds of prey and learn what makes them special in the bird world. “Build” a bird of your own as you discover these winged predators and discuss the adaptations that help them survive.

Enormous Elephants and Their Cousins (NEW)

For students entering 2nd - 4th grade

Elephants, rhinos, and hippos are the largest land animals on the planet! Join us as we explore their amazing adaptations like trunks, horns, and giant teeth! We will also learn all about the elephants, rhinos, and hippos that call the Saint Louis Zoo home, including our growing elephant family. We will finish the class with a walk through the River’s Edge to see these amazing giants.

ROAR and PURR! Cats are some of the most recognizable animals in the world. In this class, we will learn the differences between big and small cats as we investigate cat adaptations and visit some of our cats at the Zoo.

Personable Pinnipeds

For students entering 2nd - 4th grade

Dive into the fun-filled world of the fin-footed mammals. Sea lions, seals and walruses are all in this family and will be the topic of the day. We will learn how to tell them apart, learn where they live, and go see our sea lion stars in the show. After the show, we will take a stroll through the Sea Lion Sound exhibit to visit all of our fin-footed friends.
