Animal Myths and Legends

For students entering 4th - 6th grade

From art to books to movies, animals play an important role in our modern day entertainment.  But do dragons really exist?  What exactly is a Piasa?  Where did the myth of the Kraken come from?  This class will explore a variety of animals, real and imaginary, and how they add to our enjoyment of the stories in which they are found.

Grossology 101

For students entering 4th - 6th

In this class, gross is good!  You will have an up-close, personal experience with hairballs, slime-producing creatures, and some of the grossest things you have never heard of!  Let your inner “grossologist” shine while learning about all the different ways scientists investigate gross things.  To top it off, we will make your very own collection of gross things to take home!
