Summer Registration Information & Forms
Registration Types
Early Bird Online Registration
Early Bird Online Registration for Zoo Members will open at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013. A portion of program spaces will be made available for online registration. After the Early Bird Mail-In registrations for Zoo Members have been processed, online registration will open for the General Public.
Early Bird Mail-in Registration
To be eligible for Early Bird Mail-in Registration, your envelope must be RECEIVED by 4 p.m. on March 5, 2013. By random draw lottery, all envelopes from current Zoo Members are processed first, followed by envelopes from the General Public. Due to the volume of mail, completion of Early Bird Mail-in Registration may take one week. Your confirmation will be sent by e-mail or mail (if requested) beginning March 11, 2013.
NOTE: Please choose either Early Bird Online Registration or Early Bird Mail-in Registration. Processing fees will apply for duplicate registrations.
Daily Registration (after Early Bird Mail-in Registration)
Any envelopes received after March 5, 2013 will be held until all Early Bird Mail-in Registrations are processed. They will be processed in the order received.
How To Register
Advance registration is required for all programs.
Registrations will be accepted until two weeks before the date of the program for which you are applying.
If you are mailing or dropping off registration forms for Camp Joey, Camp KangaZoo, or Teen Camp, please submit one Camp KangaZoo Registration and Health/Information Form per child. For all other programs, please submit a Household Registration Form.
Participants may register for only one session of each program title, and must be the appropriate age or grade level to attend the program chosen. For Camp KangaZoo, participants may register for one session of each topic.
Participants may not make up or receive a refund for missed programs. No exceptions will be made.
Please Note: Fax, e-mail and phone registrations will not be accepted.
Buddy Registration System (Camp Joey, Camp KangaZoo, and Teen Camp ONLY)
If your child wishes to register in Camp with another child, the two forms must be mailed together. Only one "buddy" may be included in your envelope.
If your child's buddy is not the same for both Camp topics, two registration envelopes will be required for your child (each envelope will have a Camp form for your child and the buddy).
If the buddy forms are not mailed together, we cannot guarantee that you will be registered in the same Camp session.
Buddy registration is not guaranteed when using online registration, but you can enter a buddy's name for your child(ren).
The buddy and his/her family must register for any other programs on a separate form IN THEIR OWN ENVELOPE.
Please Note:
To use the buddy system for Zoo Member Early Bird Mail-in Registration, BOTH families must be current Zoo Members. If one or both families are not current members, you may use the buddy system in the General Public Early Bird Mail-in Registration, or after, in the Daily Registrations.
(See example shown below.)

When deciding whether to register by mail or online, we recommend mailing or dropping off your registration if you have Buddy Registrations for Camp KangaZoo. When registering online, you can't see how many spaces are left in a program session. It is possible for you to take the last available space in a program session, and your child's buddy would not be able to register.
Registering Grandchildren
If you are a member of the Zoo Member at the Grandparent/Family level or above, you may register your grandchildren using Early Bird Zoo Member Online Registration, Zoo Member Early Bird Mail-in Registration or after at the Zoo Member discounted prices.
If you are a Zoo Member at the Zoo-Goer or Senior level, you may only register your grandchildren in the Early Bird General Public Mail-in Registration, General Public Online Registration, or after at the general public prices.
If you are not a member, you may register your grandchildren in the General Public Early Bird Mail-in Registration or after at the general public prices.
NOTE: The original signature of a parent/legal guardian for the Claims Release and Medical Consent is required for all participants under the age of 18 (see registration forms).
May I Register Other Family Members and Friends?
Only immediate family members living in the household may be included on the Household Registration Form or online registration order (see grandchildren exception above). Any nieces, nephews, visiting cousins, friends, out of town guests, etc. must have their own Registration Form and be mailed in their own envelope or register themselves online.

Status of Registration
For a mail-in registration you will receive a Registration Report by email or mail (if requested).
Please read each of your Registration Report(s) carefully for the following information:
- Confirmed program dates and times (these may be your 2nd or 3rd choice).
- Special notes or directions about confirmed programs such as lunches, program locations, or supplies.
- Waiting list information if all program sessions you selected were sold out.
For online registration, after you checkout you will either receive:
- Notification that a session you selected is sold out with the option to choose another session.
- Immediate confirmation by email that your payment was processed and spaces are held.
You will also receive a second email requiring the immediate signature and return of Terms and Conditions for all participants on that order. To ensure you receive our communications, please add onlineregistration@stlzoo.org to your address book.
Why Am I On A Waiting List?
During the processing of your form, you will be placed on the waiting list(s) if ALL of your session choices for a program requested are sold out. If you are placed on a waiting list, we will not process the payment for that program.
As openings become available, we will notify you to see if you are still interested in the program. If you accept an opening, you will then be asked to pay for the program.
If you are placed into one of your program session choices, you will NOT be placed on the waiting list for other sessions of that program.
