Our most popular trip is offered once again. Our first stop will be Mountain Lodge at Mount Kenya. Here you will be able to observe the myriad wildlife that frequents the illuminated watering hole during the evening and night. Then at Samburu Game Reserve you'll see a number of animal species rarely found elsewhere in Kenya: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Then we head south as we stop at the famous Sweetwaters Tented Camp to see rhino. We also visit Jane Goodall's chimpanzee sanctuary. From there it's on to Lake Nakuru to view its amazing concentration of flamingos. Then we drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara, the site of one of the largest and most spectacular animal migrations in the world. The land is shared with the nomadic Maasai herdsmen, who live in harmony with the wildlife grazing in the area. In the three days we spend here, you should see lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, black rhinos, and hippos -- plus many fine birds. The optional extension to Tanzania will take you to the famed Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We hope you can join us on this once-in-a-lifetime trip. Escorted by Michael Macek, Curator of Birds.
