Ever pretend you were an elephant while blowing out your birthday candles? Feel like a lion while clawing open your presents? Wish you were a giraffe so you could reach that balloon on the ceiling? At the Saint Louis Zoo, we welcome party animals of all ages. Our 1½ hour parties at the Birthday Party Area in Lakeside Cafe include: - Cheese pizza, gold fish cracker, cherry applesauce and beverage (Reserved adult meals are also available)
- Birthday cake and vanilla ice cream
- Goodie bag for each child
- Activity sheets and crayons
- Plates, napkins, spoons, fork and birthday candles
- A birthday hostess to help with the event and lead in games
- Costumed character
All this for $18 per person, minimum 10 children and/or adults.
Zoo Friends receive a 10% discount with valid membership card. Party times available are 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. year round. 4 p.m. available Memorial Day through Labor Day. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for confirmed reservations, payable by cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express. Balance is due the day of the party. Animal Adventures!
Add an Animal Adventure to your ZOO-per Birthday Party or have a 1 hour and 45 minute Animal Adventure Party. Each party includes a live animal presentation with three different animals, game and take-home craft and a guided tour of part of the Zoo. Choose from three exciting themes: - Caring Keepers Party See how keepers and vets take care of the animals at the Zoo
- Herp, Herp Hooray! Party Learn about snakes, frogs and other slimy and scaly superstars
- Rockin' Rainforest Party Discover monkeys and more animals that live in this wild and wonderous place
These parties are ideal for children ages three and older, with a one to four parent, child ratio, and with a maximum of 25 people. Parties are available on Saturdays at 12 noon and 1:45 p.m. Reserve an entire party for $495, or split the activities up - live animal presentations are $220, games and take-home crafts are $165 and a guided tour is $110. All parties must be booked up to four weeks in advance and a $50 deposit is required at booking, with full payment two weeks before the party. A 10% discount is offered to Zoo Friends.
