Eats and Drinks
Wine and Beer Sampling from 6 to 8 p.m., while supplies last (only included in Tasting Package) Sample wines from more than 50 wineries, featuring over 200 different wines. Enjoy new beers and specialty products at Anheuser-Busch sampling stations.
Bars and Food Wine by the glass and bottle, beer, soda and frozen specialty drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Food will also be available to purchase during the event.
Gourmet Picnic Dinners Gourmet picnic dinners are available for pre-order and served with dessert. Special wines will be recommended to complement each meal. Orders must be received by 12 noon Monday, July 20, for the July 22 event, or 12 noon Monday, August 24, for the August 26 event.
Menu options include:
- Chef Jerry Chollet's Crab Louie salad with chilled asparagus spears
- Grilled sesame chicken breast over soba noodles
- Pan-seared beef tenderloin medallions served with mango couscous and asparagus
- Jerk tofu skewers, grilled peppers and red cabbage cole slaw
Picnic dinners are served with a dessert and lemonade or iced tea. Wines can be paired to complement the dinner.
Private Event Areas
Private event packages are available for groups of 25 or more. Packages include general admission and tasting package admission for your guests, exclusive opportunity for an animal experience such as touching and feeding our stingrays, special guest entrance and parking, beer and wine upon entry for your guests, personal party concierge, and medium hors d'oeuvres reception at a unique private event area. - Zoo Friends Members: Free. Park for free at the north parking lot on Government Drive, and enter through the North Entrance.
- Non-Members: $10. Park for free at the south parking lot on Wells Drive, and enter through the South Entrance.
- Join the Young Zoo Friends either night, and you and a guest will get in free
Tasting Package Admission Includes admission to event, unlimited wine and beer tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. (while supplies last), opportunity to purchase wine, beer and food, and live entertainment.
- Zoo Friends Members: $10. Park for free at the north parking lot on Government Drive, and enter through the North Entrance.
- Non-Members: $20. Park for free at the south parking lot on Wells Drive, and enter through the South Entrance.
