2) If you should have received an award (only category awards), you may pick up your award in the Zoo Friends Office (Lower Rotunda of The Living World) Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 27.

3) If you were unable to attend and would still like to pick up your t-shirt(s), you may do so in the Zoo Friends Office (Lower Rotunda of The Living World) Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 27.

New this year! Participants in the 5K and the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk will receive a timing chip for more accurate results. Timing chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race or a $30 non-refundable fee will be assessed.

8 a.m. 5K Run/Walk, 3.1 mile loop course; accurately measured; splits at one and two miles. Walkers begin after runners.
9:10 a.m. 1/2 mile Kids' Race (7-12 years), first 1/2 mile of 5K course
9:20 a.m. 1/4 mile Kids' Race (6 years and under)
9:30 a.m. 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, first mile of 5K course
Note: No dogs, rollerblades, bikes, skates or skateboards permitted on courses.

8:30 a.m. to 12 noon Family activities located in Schnuck Family Plaza and surrounding areas. (See below.)

Location

Start/finish near Kiener Memorial Entrance to the Zoo, corner of Washington and Government Drive. Free parking is provided on the Zoo's South lot (closest to Highway 40) before 8 a.m. on race day.

Stop by the Packet Pickup at the Zoo's Administration Building on Saturday, May 31, or at The Living World on Sunday, June 1, from 6:30-9:30 a.m.

$18 Individual registration (before May 16)
$22 Individual registration (after May 16)
$10 Kids' Race (under 12 years) separate registration required
$50 Family registration (limit of four individuals in same family)
$10 per additional family member
Note: There is no family registration allowed after May 18

On race day, each participant can enjoy a complimentary breakfast (while supplies last) and will be entered in an attendance prize drawing. Attendance prizes will be drawn during the 10 a.m. Awards ceremony near Lakeside Cafe in Schnuck Family Plaza. You must be present to win.

Each individual registration also includes one Make Track for the Zoo t-shirt, and each Family Registration includes four shirts. Shirt Sizes: Child S(4-6), M(8-10), L(10-12); Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL.

Packet Pickup

Saturday, May 31 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Zoo Administration Building
Sunday, June 1 (race day) 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. in The Living World
Note: You may pay shipping and handling to receive your packet if you register
by May 16. Otherwise, Saturday pickup is encouraged to avoid race-day delays.

Activities

Join the Saint Louis Zoo and St. Louis Children's Hospital for activities that the entire family will enjoy. Animal and human health and fitness activities will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon in Schnuck Family Plaza and the surrounding areas. These will include:

  • Cheetah Challenge
  • Happy Hoppers
  • Crazy Changers
  • Balanced Diets

Educational activities will take place at the same time near Ice Cream Oasis.

10:30 a.m. Sea lion feeding
11 a.m. Cheetah enrichment / Keeper chat
12:30 p.m. Sea lion feeding
2 p.m. Elephant keeper chat / Behavior demonstration
2:30 p.m. Primate keeper chat
3:15 p.m. Sea lion feeding
4 p.m. Bear feeding / Keeper chat
All day: Ape nutrition station in Fragile Forest
