'Tis the Season for Conservation
Spread joy from around the world with your holiday greetings this year! The 2009 Saint Louis Zoo greeting cards feature wildlife artwork by students in Tanzania as part of an art exchange with fourth grade students in St. Louis. The exchange was facilitated through the Zoo's WildCare Institute Center for Cheetah Conservation in Africa. Proceeds from card sales support the Saint Louis Zoo and its conservation efforts at the Zoo and around the world.
The cover of each card reads: "‘Tis the season to celebrate the world and all of its creatures."
Inside each card is a color photo of a Zoo animal and the greeting, "Happy Holidays."
The cards were created using Forest Stewardship Council certified paper and eco-friendly inks.
About the Artists
Each young Tanzanian artist shares their view of animals seen from their back yards -- the African plains.
