A top-rated Saint Louis Zoo attraction, the First Bank Sea Lion Show at the new Sea Lion Sound is oceans of fun for the whole family!

Sea Lion Superstars

The Zoo's five experienced California sea lion stars – Roby, Rosie, Bennie, Dixi and Nikki – will make their way back to the stage in 2013. And we'll be introducing 2-year-old Mandy, a newcomer to the show this season.

Some of the acrobatic and athletic behaviors you'll see from these intelligent animals include:

• Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform
• Powerful swimming
• Hurdle and high jumps
• Flipper walks
• Balancing acts
• Frisbee tosses
• Lots of splashing and even more surprises!

While on stage with the animals, our trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, animal fun facts and the need for conserving the sea lions' ocean habitat.

Lichtenstein Sea Lion Arena

Our 811-seat amphitheater, which opened with Sea Lion Sound in summer 2012, features the large Ann Lux Family Stage and a rock bridge extending into the audience offering an up-close look at the playful sea lions. Watch the sea lions swim underwater in the 40,000-gallon acrylic saltwater pool surrounding the stage. The arena also offers shaded seating with a huge fabric awning and giant, whisper-quiet fans overhead for audience comfort.

Opening Day is set for April 6 and runs weekends through May 26. Our roster of sea lion superstars will thrill you with flipper walks, ball balancing, high dives and lots of splashing!

Daily Summer Shows

5 p.m. show on weekends and holidays
$4/person. Children under 2 are free.
The pinnipeds of summer are back for a full season of major league fun.

Tickets

Timed tickets are available at the Sea Lion Show ticket booth at Sea Lion Sound.

Zoo members may redeem their Anywhere passes for timed tickets at a Welcome Desk or at the Sea Lion Show ticket booth.

A limited supply of complimentary Assisted Listening Devices is available for the arena. An ID is required for use.
