WildCare Institute's Club Conservation

Want to save wild animals and wild places?  There's a lot that kids can do to help.  Start by joining us in Club Conservation

The Saint Louis Zoo's WildCare Institute started this club as a way for kids to learn more about the endangered animals, and to be part of the solution.  Our Zoo has become a leader in animal conservation throughout the world, and through our WildCare Insitute we are focusing on 12 conservation hotspots to save endangered animals. We're lending a helping hand to hellbenders and American burying beetles in Missouri, mountain vipers in Armenia, horned guans in Mexico, Grevy's zebra in Africa, Humboldt penguins in Peru, lemurs in Madagascar, birds of the Galapagos Islands, cheetahs in Africa, echidnas and tree kangaroos in Papua New Guinea, and various animals of the Bosawas region of Nicaragua.

Click on each of the stars to learn a little more about the animals and their habitats.

Check out our first Club Conservation for the Grevy's zebra, and start your journey to Kenya! And check back soon for more Club Conservation stories on each of our WildCare centers. Each Club Conservation section will have interactive games and other cool things to do -- devoted to the animals we're saving, the people who share their land, the geography of the region, what the Zoo is doing there, and how you can help.

Welcome to the Club!
