Summer Hours -- May 28-September 6, 2010 Friday-Sunday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (North Star Summer Zoo Weekends) Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(During the rest of the year, the Zoo is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.)
Holiday Hours and Early Closings:
- January 1, 2010 (New Year's Day) -- Zoo closed
- May 31, 2010 (Memorial Day) -- Open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- June 18, 2010 -- Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (early closing for A Zoo Ado fundraiser)
- September 6, 2010 (Labor Day) -- Open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- November 25, 2010 (Thanksgiving Day) -- Open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- December 24, 2010 (Christmas Eve) -- Open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- December 25, 2010 (Christmas Day) -- Zoo closed
- December 31, 2010 (New Year's Eve) -- Open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- January 1, 2011 (New Year's Day) -- Zoo closed

Attraction Fees
Admission to the Zoo is FREE although there are fees for some attractions.
- Stingrays at Caribbean Cove is $1.50 for Zoo Friends members and $3 for non-members. Free admission the first hour the Zoo is open. Children under 2 are free.
- Children's Zoo is $4 per person. Free admission the first hour the Zoo is open. Children under 2 are free.
- Conservation Carousel is $3 per person. All proceeds support the Saint Louis Zoo's conservation programs.
- Zooline Railroad is $5 per person, per round trip ticket. You may leave the train, visit exhibits and re-board. Children under 2 are free.
- Sea Lion Show (seasonal) is $3 per person. Children under two are free.
- Motion Simulator is $3 per person.
- 3-D Movie is $3 per person.
Safari Pass
Make the most of your day at the Zoo with a Safari Pass. This one-day pass is $10/person and includes one admission to the Children's Zoo, Zooline Railroad, Sea Lion Show (while in season), Conservation Carousel and Motion Simulator. Buy a Safari Pass online!
Parking
All-day parking is available on the Zoo's North Lot on Government Drive and South Lot on Wells Drive.
- Parking is $11 per vehicle.
- Parking for buses, motor homes and R.V.s is $22 and is available on the South Lot only.
Limited street parking is available in Forest Park.
Driving Directions
Wells Drive Open Wells Drive at the Zoo's south entrance is now open, as of June 18, 2010. Access to the south parking lot is available from both Hampton Ave. and Tamm Ave. entrances to Forest Park.
Entrances to Forest Park There are nine entrances to Forest Park, including Hampton & Wells, Tamm Avenue bridge, Skinker & Wells, Skinker & Forsyth, Lindell at DeBaliviere, Lindell at Forest Park Parkway, Lindell at West Pine, Kingshighway at West Pine, Kingshighway at Oakland to Tamm. From US 40/I-64 eastbound and westbound Take the Hampton exit (34-B) and follow signs to Forest Park. At the first roundabout, turn left (west) on Wells Drive and arrive at the Zoo's South Entrance. Alternate: From the Hampton exit, turn south on Hampton, right on Oakland, right on Tamm and arrive at South Entrance.
To North Entrance, go straight through first roundabout, left at second roundabout on Washington Blvd., turn left on Government Drive.
Westbound Alternate Route: Take Clayton Road exit, turn right on Skinker, right on Wells Drive. Veer left to Zoo's North Entrance. Veer right to South Entrance.
Eastbound Alternate Route: Take McCausland exit, turn left on McCausland/Skinker, right on Wells Drive. Veer left to Zoo's North Entrance. Veer right to South Entrance.
From I-44 eastbound and westbound Take the Hampton Ave. exit. Drive north about one mile and cross the Hampton Ave. bridge. At the first roundabout, turn left (west) on Wells Drive and arrive at the Zoo's South Entrance.
To North Entrance, go straight through first roundabout, left at second roundabout on Washington Blvd., turn left on Government Drive.
Eastbound Alternate Route: Take Vandeventer Ave. exit and follow signs to Kingshighway north. Turn left onto Oakland Avenue. Drive west to the Tamm Avenue bridge, turn right over the bridge and arrive at the Zoo's South Entrance.
Westbound Alternate Route: Take Vandeventer Ave/Kingshighway exit 287B-A and follow signs to Kingshighway north. Turn right on Kingshighway. Turn left onto Oakland Avenue. Drive west to the Tamm Avenue bridge, turn right over the bridge and arrive at the Zoo's South Entrance.
From I-270 North If you're coming from north or northwest, take I-70 or I-270 to I-170 south. Merge onto I-64/40 east. Take the Hampton exit (34-B) and follow signs to Forest Park. At the first roundabout, turn left (west) on Wells Drive and arrive at the Zoo's South Entrance. Alternate: From the Hampton exit, turn south on Hampton, right on Oakland, right on Tamm and arrive at South Entrance.
Alternate Route: Exit I-170 at Forest Park Parkway and go east approx. 2 miles. Turn right on Skinker Boulevard. Turn left on Lagoon Drive into Forest Park. Veer right on Fine Arts Drive, past the Art Museum to Government Drive. Turn right to the Zoo's North Entrance.

Forest Park Shuttle (effective May 29-September 6, 2010)
Ride MetroLink to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink station and connect with the #3 Forest Park Shuttle this summer. Ride in comfort and hop off at any or all of the attractions at its 12 stops. Visit the Zoo, Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis Art Museum, Boat House, Jewel Box and more.
Hop on and off all for one price. Purchase a Day Pass in advance or at a MetroLink station ($4.50) to cover all of your riding. Or purchase a Forest Park Shuttle Bus Ticket aboard the shuttle bus in Forest Park (Adults $2.00; Seniors, Disabled, and Children 5-12 $1.00; Under 5 ride FREE). Or simply use your existing valid pass.
The Forest Park Shuttle operates in a loop through Forest Park seven days a week, May 29 - September 6, 2010, every 15 minutes from 9:45 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.

By Bus
(Effective July 1-September 6, 2010) The #90 Hampton bus will not enter Forest Park near the Zoo between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Take the bus to Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink station and transfer to the #3 Forest Park Shuttle which stops within a short walking distance from the Zoo's North Entrance on Government Drive.
The #90 Hampton stop nearest to the Zoo is at Hampton and Clayton Ave., approximately a one-mile walk to the Zoo's south entrance. Walk west across Hampton to Oakland past Turtle Park. Turn right on Tamm Ave. and right on Wells to the south entrance.
After September 6, 2010, the #90 Hampton bus stops within a short walking distance from the Zoo's North Entrance on Government Drive.
