Round and round you go! The Zoo's newest attraction, the Mary Ann Lee Conservation Carousel, features 64 colorful hand-carved wooden animals, representing protected and endangered species at the Saint Louis Zoo.
The Conservation Carousel is fun for the family and offers a new way to engage families in discussions about wild animals and the need for their conservation. It's hard to decide whether to climb on a cheetah, warthog, hippo, polar bear, Grevy's zebra, Humboldt penguin or other exotic figures.
It's located on the north side of the Zoo near the polar bears and the exit of Penguin & Puffin Coast. The ride is ADA accessible. Two chariots on the carousel can accommodate wheelchairs. All proceeds from this attraction will help support our WildCare Institute. The Zoo is also offering carousel animals available as carousel gift opportunities.
