While the Zoo is closed to the public, we want to #BringTheStlZooToYou! We have asked our animal care team to share some photos and videos of our animals. Please keep in mind we will be operating under unusual circumstances and limited staff. Our first priority is the care and well-being of our animals, but when we can, we will be happy to add something fun and positive to your newsfeed!
Our staff remain dedicated to the animals in our care. Your support is vital to our future. Please consider making a contribution to our Critical Animal Care Fund.

Food is one of the best parts of summer, and the Zoo offers many of your seasonal favorites: funnel cake, popcorn, cotton candy, nachos, ICEEs, burgers and chicken strips. But the Zoo serves more than just your typical park fare. The Zoo offers several menu items for visitors looking for healthier options, and we've also opened a new restaurant—Ray's Snack Shack—completely dedicated to serving allergy-friendly menu items.

Vegetarian and Healthy Options
To provide a variety of options for visitors, the Zoo added several vegetarian items to the menu, including black bean burgers, an Asian sensation salad, veggie quesadillas and Greek veggie wraps. Other visitors are simply looking for healthier alternatives to a burger and fries. Among those options include turkey burgers, a salad bar, baked chips and small veggie trays. Look for these items in Cafe Kudu or Lakeside Cafe.
Dole Whip (a frozen treat free of dairy, eggs, peanuts and gluten) has been available at the Zoo for a number of years but seems to be newly discovered by visitors each day. This low-calorie frozen treat can be found at River Camp Cafe and Ray's Snack Shack and is available in pineapple, raspberry, strawberry and lime flavors. It is one of the most popular treats at the Zoo, and in the summer of 2018, the Zoo sold 20,000 servings.
