While the Zoo is closed to the public, we want to #BringTheStlZooToYou! We have asked our animal care team to share some photos and videos of our animals. Please keep in mind we will be operating under unusual circumstances and limited staff. Our first priority is the care and well-being of our animals, but when we can, we will be happy to add something fun and positive to your newsfeed!

Follow us at FacebookTwitter and Instagram for daily updates and check out our new rotating animal webcams at Live Webcams!

Don't forget our STLZOOm live webinars and virtual Conservation Learning opportunities thanks to our Saint Louis Zoo Educators!

Our staff remain dedicated to the animals in our care. Your support is vital to our future. Please consider making a contribution to our Critical Animal Care Fund

Collared Lizzards

#KeeperPerspective Another species at the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium not practicing social distancing are the collared lizards! Named for the black bands on their necks, these lizards are found in the Ozark and glade habitats in Missouri and during breeding season the males become more brightly colored.  #BringTheStlZooToYou

Prairie Farms Dairy Work Breaks

While the Zoo has been closed to the public, essential staff from numerous departments have been working hard to continue providing the exceptional animal care we are known for. Our friends at Prairie Farms Dairy wanted to thank these amazing staff members with special frozen treat work breaks!

Thank you Prairie Farms Dairy for your continued support of the Saint Louis Zoo.

Hippos Love Water

#KeeperPerspective While we clean and prepare Hippo Harbor for our three Nile hippopotamuses, they love playing with the water fill for their indoor pool. Tombi really enjoys having the water spray into her mouth.  Much like children playing in sprinklers, the hippos love the spray and keepers use this as a a form of enrichment for the animals.  #BringTheStlZooToYou
