National Zookeeper Week

Happy #NationalZookeeperWeek! Created by the Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK), National Zookeeper Week is celebrated each year in July. During the week, zoos nationwide honor animal care professionals and the work they do in animal care, conservation and education. From the tiniest insect to the largest mammal, our keepers’ work is diversified. They devote their lives to taking care of very special animals on a daily basis, conserving species for the future, and educating the public about the need to preserve animals and their habitats.  Follow along all week as we spotlight our keeper staff and the amazing work that they do.
