”I spy with my little goat eye."
#KeeperPerspective Goats are curious by nature. While trying to photograph Sequoia, one of the Emerson Children's Zoo's goat residents, his buddy Glacier, decided to investigate the camera. Did you notice the shape of Glacier's pupil? Goats have horizontal, rectangular-shaped pupils, giving them a broader field of vision. This is a helpful adaptation for prey animals. It allows them to spot potential danger in a wider range of peripheral vision, giving them the chance to make a quick escape from predators. #BringTheStlZooToYou - Shannon Santangelo, Children’s Zoo Keeper
