Playing in the Rain

Sumatran orangutans have a head covering behavior using twigs or large leaves to protect them from the sun, rain or other elements.  Primate keepers provide our orangutans with enrichment, such as browse, sheets and even wheelbarrows, to practice this behavior. During rainy weather, our orangutans always have the option of going indoors, but our male orangutan, Cinta, often chooses to stay outside and play in the rain. He recently spent some time outside playing in the rain with a wheelbarrow. #BringTheStlZooToYou
