Veterinary Technician Week
In honor of Veterinary Technician Week, here is a special edition of Zoo Animal Stories highlighting our Veterinary Technicians!
Just like in most veterinary practices, the veterinary technicians at the Saint Louis Zoo serve a crucial role in assuring optimal animal health and welfare. National Veterinary Technician Week takes place in the third week of October each year, and provides an opportunity to recognize veterinary technicians’ many contributions. The Saint Louis Zoo has five, highly trained registered veterinary technicians who perform radiology, clinical pathology, quarantine care and countless other critical responsibilities for the health of our animals. #VetTechWeek
