Halloween at the Zoo

Spend your Halloween at the Zoo during our final day of Halloweekends presented by SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital!

Make a free reservation and join us from 9 a .m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow for some spooky fun. Enjoy special discounts, fall-themed menus and non-scary Halloween decorations around the Zoo grounds. The animals will get in on the fun, too—watch as they receive special pumpkin enrichment!

Watch this video from last weekend of our sun bear, takin, goral and giraffes enjoying their pumpkins!

Halloweekends is not a trick-or-treating experience.

Free, timed-ticket reservations are required.

Pumpkin Enrichment for the Birds!

This Halloween is for the birds! Well, for the birds at the Bird House and 1904 World's Fair Flight Cage. Bird keepers provided our resident birds, including our superb starlings and yellow-crowned night heron, to pumpkin-themed enrichment as part of Halloweekends presented by SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.  Bird Keeper Caitlin McPeek treated Sassy, our yellow-crowned night heron, to her very own jack-o'-lantern adorned with one of Sassy’s favorite things – sticks!
