International Day of Zoo and Aquarium Educators

Today is International Day of Zoo and Aquarium Educators! Did you know we have one of the nation’s largest Zoo-based Education Departments? It was established more than 50 years ago to connect visitors of every age and background to the Zoo’s care for animals and conservation work.  During COVID-19 pandemic, the Education team shifted to offering virtual programs, including Camp KangaZoo, school field trips, preschool, scout badges and more, and modified select in-person programs, such as Stingrays at Caribbean Cove presented by SSM Health and night hikes, to safely accommodate small groups. Thank you to all our educators!
