|Geographical Range||Burma, Tibet, China|
|Scientific Name||Azemiops feae|
|Conservation Status||Not listed by IUCN|
This rare snake makes its home in the cloud forests of the Himalayan foothills, where it lives on the ground rather than in trees. It manages to survive the region's harsh winters by brumating (similar to hibernating, but with periods of wakefulness). Not much else is known about this viper's habits in the wild.
The Fea's viper is beautifully colored, with an orange head and narrow orange bands on its dark back.
