Dino-Mite Discoveries

For students entering 3rd - 5th grade

Have you ever wondered what it is like to study dinosaurs and fossils like a real paleontologist? Did certain dinosaurs really have feathers? Just how much can a fossil tell us about the earth 200 million years ago? In this class, we will explore what scientists have discovered about how dinosaurs lived and how they use fossils to learn more about them. We will meet distant dinosaur relatives and make our own fossil replicas to take home.

Herp, Herp, Hooray

Come explore our awesome amphibians and radical reptiles. We will meet snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, and toads; learn about their lives in the wild, and what the Saint Louis Zoo is doing to conserve these amazing animals.

Penguin Plunge

Why do penguins look like they are wearing tuxedos?  Are they really birds?  How can you tell them apart?  Join us as we investigate these unique animals.  We will also waddle over to the Penguin & Puffin Coast exhibit to learn more about these fascinating animals.

Playful Primates

For students entering 3rd - 5th

Do you love monkeys, apes, and lemurs?  Swing on down to the Zoo, where you will discover what all primates have in common and how they are different.  We will also play games, and make a craft to help us learn about the primates we have at the Zoo.  We will finish up our class with a visit to the Primate House and Fragile Forest.

Join us for a visit to see gorillas, parrots, monkeys and other rainforest residents at the Saint Louis Zoo.  During this action-packed adventure, you will learn about the unique features of the rainforests, the animals that live there, and what you can do to help animals in this amazing habitat.
