Introductory Tour - Orthwein Animal Nutrition Center 

Grades: 4 - 12
Tour Length: 45 minutes
Fee: $70 (ZMD $55)
Offered September through May (Monday - Friday only)

This introductory tour is led by Education docents. During this tour we will explore what it takes to properly feed our animals while visiting the Orthwein Animal Nutrition Center. This unique experience provides students the opportunity to see where our animal diets are prepared and learn how our Zoo nutritionist determines the best diet for our animals.

Introductory Tour - Saint Louis Zoo Endangered Species Research Center and Veterinary Hospital

Fee: $90 (ZMD $85)

This introductory tour is led by Education docents During this tour we  will explore what it takes to care for our animals while visiting the Saint Louis Zoo’s Endangered Species Research Center and Veterinary Hospital. This unique experience provides students the opportunity to learn how Zoo veterinarians and researchers advance conservation and well-being of our animals using innovative techniques and practical applications of science.

Please Note: This area is not open to the public. It is uncommon for groups to observe animals being treated at the time of the tour.
