• Animal Architects 

    How do birds build their nests? What does a prairie dog tunnel look like? Learn all this and more by joining our Zoo educators for a fun and interactive Zoom webinar all about animal architects! You will be led through activities, crafts, and take a tour of the Zoo all from your own home. You’ll be the architect as you make your own animal and build your own shelter!  This is a virtual program.  Additional program information including the Zoom website link will be sent later.  

    Limited to 300 scouts per session 
    Fee:  $10 per scout 

    For Cadettes in grades 6th - 8th 

    February 26 (F); 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

    Do you have a mixed troop or the do the pre-set dates not work for your schedule? Then come do a private Zoom meeting and get all the fun of a virtual snooze for just your troop! One of our Educators will lead your troop through activities, crafts, and take a tour of the Zoo all from your own home.  You’ll be the architect as you make your own animal and build your own shelter!  This is a virtual program.  Additional program information including the Zoom website link will be sent later.   

    Fee: $15 per scout; minimum of 10 scouts

  • Girl Scout Virtual Badge Programs

    Do you want to learn about Zoo animals while earning a badge right from the comfort of your own home? These two-hour Zoom-based programs will be led by an Educator who will lead you through the steps to earn your badge. Some badges will need post- work to be completed after the Zoom program, but instructions will be included as part of the registration. You can also order a toolkit for your scouts that will provide them with materials for the activities and their badge.

    Badges Offered:

    • Caring Keepers (Daisies)
    • Bugs (Brownie)
    • Household Elf (Brownie)
    • Animal Habitats (Junior)
    • Night Owl (Cadette)

     

    Fee: Varies based on what options you would like for your troop.

    • Private Zoom call with a Zoo educator $15 per scout (minimum of 10 scouts)
    • Toolkit with materials and badge $10 per scout (minimum of 10 scouts) 

    Girl Scout Badge Nights at the Zoo

    Come to the Zoo after hours to see the animals at night and complete a badge. These programs will complete the entire badge and will also get you a personal experience as your own educator leads you through all your badge requirements.

    Badges Offered:

    • Brownies: Bugs and Household Elf
    • Juniors: Animal Habitats
    • Cadette: Night Owl

     

    Who registers: Troops of up to seven scouts and two leaders.

    Dates/Times: These two-hour programs are offered from September to May; Monday - Friday between 6 and 9 p.m.

    Fee: $300 for your troop of up to seven scouts and two leaders.

  • For scouts and organized groups with participants ages 8 and up. Fees listed are per group. An adult must accompany the group.

    Ever wonder what the Zoo is like after dark? Gather your troop or pack, and join us for this amazing opportunity to explore the Zoo at night! A Zoo educator will be your guide for your group to learn more about the animals. All participants must wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidelines. See the Terms and Conditions Section under the registration information for more details. 

    Fee: $300 for your group of up to 9 family or friends, and adult must accompany the group.
    Tour Length: 90 minutes.
